From The London Times:

"SADDAM HUSSEIN is suspected of planning to arm a Palestinian terrorist group with biological weapons to attack either American or Israeli targets.

...In the same way that Iran has funded and trained terrorist groups to carry out attacks from Lebanon against Israel, Saddam, according to the assessment, could be banking on recruiting a Palestinian terrorist group to act on his behalf.

Analysis of US satellite imagery over the past four years has provided sufficient evidence to show what Saddam has been doing since the expulsion of the United Nations weapons inspectors in December 1998. While the Iraqi leader has pursued all elements of his weapons of mass destruction programme, he has made greatest progress in trying to ãweaponiseä his biological systems, using the mobile research laboratories to try to deceive Americaâs spy satellites..."

Oh fuck! He knows he'll be killed, the last (or even first) act of a madman - get a suicide Arab to spray smallpox over London, Birmingham, Tel Aviv, New York.

Rumsfeld toughens terror fight -- The Washington Times

"Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld has ordered his top special-operations general to accelerate covert missions in the war on terrorism because he is impatient with the pace at which al Qaeda terrorists are captured or killed."

Debka mentions covert ops too. No doubt the war is already underway, hence the smoke screen attempt of Saddam's re the letting back in of the arms inspectors.
""Rumsfeld wants to stay as far away from law enforcement as possible," said one source, who adds that, as is usual for the defense secretary, he wants "new thinking.""

DebkaFile says: "Our most credible sources confirm that the campaign is secretly marching forward - precisely according to the game plan Bush conceived and promised the American people in the speeches he delivered in September, October and November 2001. He said then that parts of the war on global terror would go forward in secret and never be known."

Did he? Possibly, probably.

DEBKAfile: Blue skies thinking

"Bright Prospects for Economy"

They reckon that Israel will be the hub of commerce for the post Iraq/Palestinian states. Just the idea that these Arab countries will do business with a people they have hated for 50 years is sheer nonsence. But it could well be Bush's end plan. Blue skies thinking.

"In case you missed it, BT finally got its BTOpenzone Wi-Fi (public broadband wireless local area networks (LANs)) hotspots online for their target date of 1st August 2002 last week.

The service is touted to give laptop and PDA users high-speed wireless Internet access in selected locations, although the price tag may be too high for some:

Subscribers can pay £85 per month for unlimited access, £40 per month for 900 minutes Wi-Fi surfing per month, or £20 for 300 minutes. Anyone who signs up before 31 December will get a 50 percent discount. "

The Big Thief, at it again.

Telewest PR chief follows Singer

"Jane Hardman, who formerly worked at heavyweight City PR firm Brunswick, is expected to take over as head of Telewest's in-house public relations team.

However, the company's deepening debts prompted the ousting of Mr Singer on Wednesday. Telewest insiders said it was inevitable Murray would leave shortly afterwards. "

Will more heads roll?
