Waiting for Father Christmas

We were told that Father Christmas was to do a procession through Telford Shopping Centre at 6.00pm.
Off we pop.

After waiting near the centre we figure that near where he starts would be less crowded. And it was for a while.

But when he does arrive, it's too fast, and the damned Rug Rats scare Esme to death. She hates anybody dressed up like that. At least the pirates are handing out chocolate coins, so all is not lost.
But, boy, was the shopping centre packed.
