Ooooo Woe is me.

I've gone and fixed something that was broken, and now, I'm sure to have complaints flooding in telling me I've broken something that I've fixed.

This is what happened. I was getting messages telling me I had an image missing, remember I said that I had to move my domain name? Well, I set it up so that everytime I had a 404 I received an email telling me so. I went away for the weekend and when I came back I had 400 odd such messages. Most of them concerned one missing image from several sites.
A 404 file not found error occurred on your website www.cybersaps.org with the following details:- URL: http://www.cybersaps.org/images/weblogger1/theme2webloggercom/bg.gif
Date and Time: Tue Apr 22 11:17:41 2003
Referring Page: http://astonvilla.blogfootball.com/sotc/discuss/msgReader$74?mode=day.

So now I've fixed it and I see that this site's background is now, erm... correctly white, as the image I've uploaded is supposed to be white. However, the geezer had set his background to be a red colour.

So I'll get a series of complainst from those using the hazard theme saying, 'hey, my background is white, it used to be red, who's been messing with my site!!!!!'

Well, I haven't messed with anybody's template, I wouldn't. I've just fixed a missing image, that's all.

If you want to edit your site's template to remove the white background image, then you can do that yourself. Simply go to your prefs==>advences==>template. Copy it to a text editor (easier than working in the small web page box) and search for '/bg.gif' and delete the whole string: background='http://www.cybersaps.org/images/weblogger1/theme2webloggercom/bg.gif'

There's only one instance of it. Or you could replace the above image with one of your own with a colour of your choosing.

My apologies, but 400 emails, and other people using the same theme and expecting the correct image are my first priority. If you need further help... steve@cybersaps.com

I think I've finally fixed all the broken images. Moved my site from the lost dot co dot uk site to the new dot org site.

I'll be checking over the next few days for any left overs. If you see any can you contact me at steve@cybersaps.com with the url of the broken image and what page (url) you were expecting to see it, cheers.

Oops, sorry about the bust advert images. It's not your fault! Tis Mine. I've gone and lost my domain name. It was there one minute and gone the next.

I'm in negotiations with Nominet to get it back and expect this to happen in a few days. Certainly I expect it back by Monday next week (14th April).

transmission : Happier "It's nice to know that even if it was only updated on Monday, this Blog dropped off the radar because more people are updating theirs."

Easy to fix add this macro to any page within blogFootball. The number indicates how many sites you want to list. Currently the blogger who blogs the blogs is using a parsimonious 12 sites. See more here: http://macros.userland.com/hostingSuite/viewUpdates

BlogFootball: "Firstly, sorry a lot of these didn't make the Monday round-up - it was a busy day at work. Still, it makes for a cracking Tuesday, blogwise."

Did something happen in the world of football? I must subscribe to more of these channels, as I see it's not all footie these days.

"Always good to have a gestalt entity on board and Mr Legion is getting the hang of it and adds another call for Ellis to follow Ridsdale (not quite like for like given HDE's mammoth shareholding). In terms of 'development' - the editor only 'help' option contains a goldmine of info. It's not especially well catalogued but it usually means you find more than just what you were looking for." Nice to see a new blogger. Seems to have made a nice job.
