I'm finally reconciling the installation I had last year, now on my laptop, with the devil's PC machine in the UCE. I'll be able to control and monitor the PC, without having to worry about germs from rotton MicroSoft land.

I'll later delete all very, very old blogs and unused empty blogs. I guess I'll email their owners, and publish a list before. I'll store them in lost property. Don't forget you own your blog, and can download it, though I think that's bust at the moment.

I'll bring back the blog creation tool, sort out some themes, I believe Mac has one, and the front page is a nice one, any other suggestions?

I'll put it in the power of the ME's of current bloggers to create them, and, should I put a message to that effect, discretely, at the foot of every page served?
"Want a Villa blog?
Contact the owner@wherever.com."

Actually, if any of you want to debate this, now's the time to speak up maybe Mac or Mark will set up a yahoo mailing list or will you blog about it?. I suppose it should be necessary to be a Villa fan to claim a free blog. I really don't know, I mean you run this place, how you set it up is up to you lot.

To get your facts rightYou're basically sitting on free bandwidth from the UCE, on Mac's old PC, and my old G3. Now the news site is elsewhere, this should be a reasonable speedy and reliable set-up. If I can trim and bash it -- which I'm working on. You'll be getting all the updates, gadgets and widgets, even though many of you'll never use them. Digital photos may interest those not other wise so bent. Or, blogging to and from phones.

The machine is not a problem, well it shouldn't be after Monday. It's the bandwidth and server space. That costs. Luckily, after the great financial crash of last year, Mac and I, well, mainly Mac swung the current set up. We know a geezer, if you know what I mean. How long that lasts, we don't know. He's just won £4.5m to set up a linux help centre in Birmingham. I'll be running OS X which is close... But relying on favours, is... Mind you, it's worked fine in the past.

I'd like to swap the old PC for a new G4, but suspect it won't happen, the swap that is, for certain I've the dosh to do buy a new machine, alas not the time to set it up. So, I think, I'll end up having to leave the PC and G3 at UCE and buy some co-location for the G4, which in this country, is pricey. The three machines will be joined up, different things doing different jobs.

Why am I doing this? To feed my kids. And it's good fun.

Anybody want to buy a blog? Or, a couple of hundred blogs?
A 1,000?
Suits you, Sir.
